The African Journal of Research in Medical and Health Sciences has just recently commenced and is in the process of registration with both local and international abstracting partners including African Journals Online (AJOL), Google Scholar, Baidu Scholar, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), EBSCO Publishing's Electronic Databases, Ex Libris – Primo Central, HINARI, Infotrieve, National Science Library, ProQuest, TDNet, Wanfang Data. Plans are on to get indexed with African Index Medicus, PubMed Central and Medline.

Digital Archiving: This journal will utilize the LOCKSS system (Lots of copies Keep Stuff Safe) to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
